Parking bans during Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan
During Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan, parking bans will be in effect on the day of the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan Parade from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parade route areas to keep everyone safe and make the event go smoothly. Parking bans are marked by 3-foot-high square "No Parking" signs along the parade route and other designated no-parking zones. They will be set up and validated at least 12 hours before the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan Parade. Calgary Parking camera-enforcement vehicles will patrol neighbourhoods around Northeast Calgary on the day.
The following temporary parking restriction will also be in effect:
- Martindale Boulevard N.E.between Martinbrook Road and Falconridge Boulevard N.E.
- 54 Avenue between Castleridge Boulevard and Westwinds Drive N.E.
To avoid getting a ticket or having your vehicle towed, DO NOT park:
- On On McKnight Blvd/Metis Tr N.E.
- On private property (like Superstore, Shaw, Day Ross, etc.).
- Within 5 meters of a Stop or Yield sign.
- Within 1.5 meters of an alley entrance or driveway.
- In an alley and block access.
Fines
If your car is towed, it is taken to the Municipal Impound Lot and you have to pay the towing and storage fees to get it back. However, you can pay for the parking ticket later if you receive one.
