Education over enforcement

Education over enforcement

An education-first approach

Enforcement is a last resort we take when safety is at risk. To help you make informed decisions, we have adopted an education-first approach and encourage you to use the tools and resources provided to avoid parking tickets or getting your vehicle towed.

How we do it

  • Spring Clean-Up (Street Cleaning)

The City's Spring Clean-up program ensures our communities' roads are clean, debris-free, and safe for pedestrians and cyclists. During the parking bans from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., keep your vehicle off the road, as street sweepers will make multiple passes.

  • Parking recreational vehicles in residential areas

Be aware of and comply with the Bylaws related to parking recreational vehicles in residential areas to avoid fines.

  • On-street RV parking

Our five-step process for long-term on-street RV parking allows for the fair and humane treatment of recreational vehicle (RV) owners and offers a balanced approach to safety and compliance.
